Who We Are
Run by an enthusiast, built like a specialist.
Analog Autohaus is a specialist shop focused on the cars we actually care about: manual-transmission Porsche sports cars and European performance machinery. Well-sorted, well-documented enthusiast cars, not volume inventory.
The person behind it is Nicholas James Bath. He’s been wrenching for about thirty years, owned twenty-plus VW, Audi, and Porsche cars over that same stretch, and has been a car fanatic since he was a kid, including the long wait to finally own a Porsche. Germany trips, Zuffenhausen, and laps at the Nürburgring are part of that story. By trade he’s also a photographer with twenty years behind the camera, so the listing photos and the shop presentation are his too. He still does the sourcing, diagnostics, and reconditioning himself (and keeps his own projects around the shop, including a Mk2 GTI he fully restored himself). When you call, you’re talking to the same person who sorted the car.
The workshop is a licensed Florida dealer bay in North Sarasota (Unit 1B at 7621 15th St E). Small on purpose and appointment-only so the floor stays focused on the work. No sales-floor theater.

How we work, what “sorted” means, fees at purchase, and what to expect when you visit, finance, or ask us to find a car.
What does “sorted” mean at Analog Autohaus?
Every car gets a full cosmetic reconditioning, done in house by Nicholas, a detailer for 30 years: multi-stage paint correction, Adam’s graphene ceramic coating, and every surface from the engine bay to the headliner. It goes well beyond a standard detail.
Can I visit and see a car?
Yes. Visits are by appointment only. Book a visit by phone or email and we will have the car ready. Walk-ins are not the norm so the shop stays focused on the work.
Do you only sell manuals?
Manuals are the point of the brand. We focus on H-pattern Porsche, Volkswagen, Audi, and other enthusiast cars that feel analog to drive. We do not stock SUVs or crossovers for the showroom. If something exceptional and on-brand turns up, we will say so. Quality over stuffing the floor.
Do you offer pre-purchase inspections?
Yes, for Porsche and Volkswagen cars you are buying elsewhere. You get an honest, enthusiast-grade report from someone who works on these cars every week. Buying one of our cars? See our PPI page to set up an independent PPI.
Can you find a specific car for me?
Yes. Tell us the model, generation, transmission, color, options, and budget. We watch dealer auctions and local run lists, review history and condition, bid at the right number, and can handle title and transport so the car arrives sorted and ready to drive. Find your dream or contact us.
Do you buy cars?
Yes. We buy manual Porsche 996, 997, 986/987 Boxster and Cayman, and 981, plus VW GTI and Golf R, Audi TT RS, and BMW E46 M3, Z3 M and Z4 M. Mechanic specials are welcome, since Nicholas handles mechanical work, PIWIS diagnostics and bodywork in house. We pay promptly and handle title and payoff paperwork. Tell us about your car.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We arrange specialty auto financing through J.J. Best. You can estimate payments and start an application on our Financing page.
What fees are added at purchase?
The listed price is the price of the car. Florida sales tax, tag, and title are extra and itemized on the buyer’s order. We do not add dealer documentation or junk fees on top of the hang price.
Do you ship or handle out-of-state titles?
Yes. We are a licensed Florida dealer and can handle title paperwork for in-state and out-of-state buyers. For transport, we work with named owner-operators who actually move the car. We size shipping into the deal so there are no surprises.
What’s your shop rate, and do you service cars you didn’t sell?
Shop rate is $150/hour, by appointment. We service Porsche and Volkswagen cars we did not sell: diagnostics, maintenance, brakes, clutches, paint correction, and the rest of the menu. Straight answers, fair pricing, no upsell.
Why buy from a small specialist instead of a big dealer or a private party?
You deal with the person who sourced the car, sorted it, and stands behind the story. Documentation, photos, and mechanical work are done here, not handed off. A private party may be honest and still leave you guessing. A big lot moves volume. We sell fewer cars and hold them to the standard we set for our own.
